Well this TV is a bit of a monster! It’s a gift, to Phil from a retired anaesthetist he’s worked with for several years. George is an Indian gentleman, and I do mean gentleman, a quiet unassuming smiley chap, who has a great interest in music, the things you play it on and watch it on. Phil, not an Indian gentleman haha, a North East England gentleman, has the same interests and so they’ve always got on well, while chatting on during work. Phil sometimes takes a load of discs round to George’s on an evening and they sit and appreciate the sound quality of George’s stereo equipment and geeky stuff like that. George is a single chap, and so as a doctor, is minted. He loves to keep up with the latest in technical excellence for his vast music collection, and consequently always offers Phil first dibs on what he’s selling to make room for the new stuff. So we have a pretty cool stereo system now, with Quad’s and posh leads etc, and have bought B&W speakers and everything is cushty in the sound dept here. Our TV downstairs is a plasma HD we bought new about 2 months before they released 3D TV ~ haha we’ve so got our fingers on the pulse, NOT!
So a couple of Days ago George rings Phil, and says- I’ve got a new 3D TV, I’m giving you my HD 42inch as a Xmas present. How kind is George??
Well the old one in the bedroom died ages ago, so we thought it would replace that.
It’s bloody HUGE!! The daft thing is we rarely if ever watch TV in bed lol, we read, or go on line- Phil’s a bugger for amazon ☺ mostly we read books- real ones with paper and all, so the TV is a bit of a white elephant, but George would have been offended if we’d refused it, and of course there’s an old saying- Don’t look at a gift horse’s teeth, or something like that.....
so here it is, in glorious technicolour.
So tonight we’re getting to bed early to watch a DVD!!! Got to do it justice lol.

Great news, No.1 son Ben coming to stay tomorrow for a few days - ☺ ☺
